Riau Book - The Regional Education Service (known as Dinas Pendidikan or Disdik) of Pelalawan, Riau, seeks to promote education by total evaluation which focused on improving the infrastructure development, human resources (HR) as well as improvement in the management of the education system in 2016.

"By 2016, we will conduct total evaluation for the advancement of education in Pelalawan. While this evaluation will concern to the improvements on infrastructure development, human resources (HR) and management system of education," said Head Office of Disdik Palalawan Drs Syafruddin Kamal MM, Tuesday (5/1) in Pangkalan Kerinci.

It was expressed by Chief of Pelalawa Public Order Agency (known as Satpol PP)that for the infrastructure development, in 2016 will be focused on the construction of new buildings for primary and junior high schools, as well as the renovation of schools in order to make those become more representative

"The infrastructure development of school roads and school facilities is also our priority in this improvement effort. While funds for this infrastructure development sourced from Palalawan annual budget in 2016," he said.

It was explained by former head of Dumai Transportation, Communication and Information agency (known as Dishubkominfo) in order to improve the quality of Human Resources, There will be total evaluation on the educator personnel, especially teachers. His agency will hold intense training as well as seminars and coaching, so that the quality of the teachers becomes better.

"We will also put the residency of these teachers according to where the teacher teaches. For example teacher who taught in the district Ukui but stay in Pangkalan Kerinci, then teachers must be domiciled in the district of Bunut. If these teachers, especially contract teachers who are not ready with this condition, then we ask teachers to resign. So, we are serious in education advancement in this country, "he said.

Kadisdik Head (Head of regional education service of Pelalawan) added, "in order to make the education system better, then his office also will conduct total evaluation, one of which related to new admissions problems. In the beginning of School Year 2016, it will apply the PSB (new students admission) based on regency systems (rayon system).

As an example a students who completed primary school from the district Langgam, she/he should continue secondary education also in the district Langgam. Unless the student has a compelling reason such as his parents moved to the district task Pangkalan Kerinci, then she/he may go to school in Pangkalan Kerinci.

"The last thing is school supervision system. Each Disdik unit (UPT Disdisk) throughout the District (kecamatan), are required to improve surveillance in its own district respectively. These include data base validation, counseling services to educators, so that they are able to anticipate the conflict between teachers and principals.

So, all the educational problems that arise in the district, is the responsibility of the supervisor UPT Disdik of each districts. If the problem may not be resolved by the supervisory districts, then the problem will be taken over by the Regional Education Service to be resolved. Therefore, with our efforts, we are optimistic that the advancement of education in this Bumi Sekata Seiya will be able to be realized, "he concluded. (RB/Sil)
